Investigation underway as Nipissing deals with fleet vehicle problems

The Township of Nipissing is grappling with the loss of several key fleet vehicles, impacting both its Public Works and Fire Department operations.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Township of Nipissing is experiencing a loss of use of some fleet vehicles.

"Repairs are currently being carried out on a rotating basis," says Fire Chief Will Bateman.

Service levels are being met with the assistance of neighbouring municipalities and the rental of fleet vehicles as required.

"The Township would like to thank neighbouring municipalities for their willingness to provide assistance. The nature of the circumstances is still under investigation and cannot be commented on at this time."
