We are all aware of the statistics: 1 in 7 Canadian men will develop prostate cancer in their lifetime, and firefighters are 60 per cent more likely to be diagnosed with cancer. Despite this knowledge, it’s still a shock when one of our own is affected.
Movember has provided an invaluable platform to come together, raise awareness, and combat this prevalent form of cancer that affects men’s health. Every few years, Bradford Fire makes a commitment to growing moustaches and raising funds for this important cause. This year, we are proud to announce that, with the generous support of our community, we raised a total of $2,890.
