Quinte West’s Deputy Fire Chief, Rick Caddick, will receive an honorary diploma from Loyalist College as one of seven industry and community leaders recognized at this year’s convocation ceremonies from June 4-7.
Deputy Caddick’s receipt of this honor is in recognition of his outstanding achievements and impact in the community.
“I am excited to be receiving an honorary diploma as one of Loyalist College’s industry and community leaders,” says Rick Caddick. “It’s a privilege to serve in an inclusive and engaged community and I am proud to accept this prestigious award.”
“On behalf of the Quinte West Fire and Emergency Services and the City of Quinte West, we are thrilled that Deputy Chief Caddick is being honoured by Loyalist College,” says Fire Chief John Whelan. “Rick’s knowledge, experience and expertise are an integral part of the Quinte West Fire and Emergency Services team.”
This honour comes following Deputy Caddick’s receipt of the Bill Williams Humanitarian Award from the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs in May 2023, also recognizing his leadership as a member of the Quinte West Fire and Emergency Services. In addition to Rick’s career with Quinte West, he is the Mutual Aid Coordinator for Hastings and Prince Edward Counties, the local Regional Training Centre Coordinator, and a sitting member of the Provincial Fire Prevention and Public Education Committee with the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs.
