OFM Mutual Aid Symposium

OFM Mutual Aid Symposium

2025 Fire Coordinators Annual Mutual Aid Meeting and Learning Symposium

The Fire Coordinators Annual Meeting and Learning Symposium brings together Fire Coordinators, Alternate Fire Coordinators, and Zone Fire Coordinators across the province to provide educational and networking opportunities to assist you in your role as a Fire Coordinator for your county, region, or district. The Fire Coordinator symposium will take place on March 25th starting at 1pm, located at Deerhurst Resort (1235 Deerhurst Dr, Huntsville, ON P1H 2E8) and will conclude March 27th at 1pm. Office of the Fire Marshal staff and Fire Coordinators across the province have come together and created the symposium that will focus on the following key themes:

  1. Case Studies and Best Practices: Sessions that feature case studies from various mutual aid activations around the province. These case studies will provide insights into successful strategies, best practices, lessons learned and shared challenges.
  2. Collaboration and Decision-Making: Sessions that explored effective collaboration techniques and decision-making processes when developing or updating municipal mutual aid plans.
  3. Building Solidarity: Sessions emphasizing the importance of solidarity in mutual aid efforts, working with unified command scenarios with other agencies

Overall, the symposium serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and strengthening the mutual aid Program. We strongly encourage attendance by at least one representative (co-ordinator, alternate, and/or zone) from each County, Region, or District.
