Certi-Fire is the leading fire alarm system training program for 309A Construction & Maintenance Electricians in Ontario, Canada. Developed as a joint initiative by the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario (ECAO) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Construction Council of Ontario (IBEW CCO), Certi-Fire was established in the 1990s as Certified Fire Alarm Electrician ("CFAE") and rebranded in 2017.

This comprehensive program, sanctioned by the Office of the Fire Marshal, is designed for 309A electricians and third-term apprentices who have completed intermediate trade school. While experience in the field is preferred, it's not mandatory. Certi-Fire consists of four levels of in-depth training, combining classroom instruction with hands-on shop experience, totaling approximately 168 hours. To maintain their certification, Certi-Fire electricians are required to recertify every five years by completing a fifth-level course.
