Presentation Title: OMERS Enrolment for Non-Full-Time (NFT) Employees in the Fire Sector
 
Presentation Description: On January 1, 2023, all NFT employees became eligible to join the OMERS Plan. In response to inquiries related to volunteer firefighters, OMERS launched a special project to identify “volunteer” or “on call” firefighters who may be considered NFT employees for OMERS purposes.
 
In this session, OMERS will provide an overview of the project, share how they are supporting municipalities and NFT employees through the process, and discuss what enrolment in the OMERS Plan looks like for NFT employees in this unique sector.
