Course Description

The Fire Inspector Principles and Practice: Conducting a Fire Inspection course is designed to equip learners with the essential skills and knowledge needed to perform thorough and effective fire inspections. This course covers a broad range of topics, from understanding permit requirements and applicable codes to identifying hazardous conditions and ensuring compliance. Through practical exercises and real-world scenarios, students will learn how to inspect means of egress, verify fire flows, and investigate common complaints, preparing them for successful careers as fire inspectors.

Additional course specifics like modules, marking, etc will all be available approximately one week prior to course start date when registered students receive instructions to log on to CPL Portal/BlackBoard.

There must be a minimum of 16 registered participants in order for the course to proceed.  Registration cut-off date is November 4, 2024.

Registration/Cancellation Policy:  There is a $50 fee for all cancellations.  There are no refunds after October 28, 2024. If a course is cancelled due to the minimum numbers not attained, students can be refunded their course fees or a credit can be applied to their account.
