Outdoor Burning Reminder: Follow Ontario’s Regulations
As fall progresses, Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services urges the public to exercise caution when performing any outdoor burning. Rather than burning yard waste or woody debris, consider composting or using your local landfill.
If burning is necessary, remember to follow Ontario’s Outdoor Burning Regulations:
- Fires should be lit no earlier than two hours before sunset and fully extinguished no later than two hours after sunrise.
- Ensure you have adequate tools and water to manage the fire, and verify it is fully extinguished before leaving the area.
