A male was pronounced deceased at the scene of the fire after he was located without vital signs.
Police and fire were alerted to a possible house fire at a residence in the town at approximately 11:30 a.m. When emergency services arrived they found a working fire at the residence, and members of the Saugeen Shores Fire Department quickly extinguished the blaze, Saugeen Shores police said in a news release.
The Saugeen Shores Police Service is investigating the fire in partnership with the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal, the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario and the Saugeen Shores Fire Department.
