Greater Sudbury firefighters extinguished a fire in a detached garage on Hazel Street in Chelmsford on Wednesday morning.
Deputy Fire Chief Jesse Oshell said crews were dispatched around 8 a.m. after reports of smoke and flames coming from the structure. All occupants were out and there were no injuries.
Firefighters based in Azilda and Chelmsford responded and were still on scene as of 10 a.m. to ensure safety, Oshell said, but the fire was out.
No damage estimate was available at the time, but a snowmobile and side-by-side vehicle were in the garage and were damaged.
The fire was not being treated as suspicious, but a cause had yet to be determined.
