The Township of North Huron is pleased to announce that Chad Kregar has been appointed as the Interim Fire Chief effective March 4, 2024.
In addition to Kregar’s experience currently supporting Huron County as the Emergency Management Coordinator, Kregar’s knowledge, skills, and leadership as it relates to fire prevention and public safety have been valued through his contributions as a North Huron Firefighter and especially in his most recent role as North Huron’s Deputy Fire Chief.
The shared fire service agreement between the Municipality of Huron East and the Township of North Huron will remain in place pending a detailed review of the role of the fire service management and administration.
As a result of this transition, North Huron is also pleased to announce that Ken DeVries has been appointed as the Interim Deputy Fire Chief effective March 4, 2024.
