HURON - Effective immediately, the Huron County fire chiefs have lifted an open air fire ban in Huron County that was put in place July 6. Significant rainfall and forecasted conditions have made things much safer in the county to allow open air burning once more, according to a press release.
Residents are reminded to follow their local municipality’s bylaws and procedures regarding open air burning. Municipal bylaws have set fines and surcharges for those found to be in violation.
