Norfolk County firefighters battled sub-zero temperatures to put out a barn fire on Windham Road 11 near Delhi early Monday.
Firefighters from five stations were dispatched to the scene just before 3:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a working barn fire that had spread throughout the entire structure.
Crews were able to gain control and put out the blaze, Katie Ballantyne, community safety officer, Norfolk County Fire Department, said.
No injuries were reported.
Damage to the barn is estimated to be about $150,000. It is unknown if the barn was insured.
It is believe that the barn was empty, Ballantyne said.
Norfolk OPP and the Norfolk County Fire Department are investigating the fire. Provincial police are on the scene and the office of the Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified but will not be attending, Ballantyne said Monday morning.
The fire is the latest in a spate of incidents that have kept Norfolk County firefighters busy in recent weeks.
